Jeffrey Grover is a transplanted midwesterner from the great city of Cleveland, the home of the burning river, the Cleveland Browns and former Mayor Ralph Perk, whose hair caught on fire in a welding accident.
Jeffrey is a proud father of four wonderful children, one of them an actress and educator here in NY with a special focus on Applied Theater. The stable includes two grandchildren, two daughters in law and a soon to be son in law. Alas, Jeff is single however enjoys the company of Sweeney Todd and Mrs. Lovett, his two cats who reside with him in the UWS.
Recent film work includes “Dark Waters” opposite Mark Ruffalo, “I Feel Pretty” opposite Amy Schumer, “Galveston” opposite Ben Foster, “Miles Ahead” opposite Don Cheadle, among others. Films in post production include “Two Cents From a Pariah,” playing the lead character, Donovan Strathmore; “Eyes Upon Waking,” as Dennis; “FUBAR” as Dr. Lamar Horthy; and finally the coup de gras, “Asshole Man” in the Russo Brothers “Cherry.” Often cast as a physician, therapist, attorney or other person with gravitas, “Asshole Man” may have brought Jeffrey to new heights. So to speak.
Theater work in NY includes productions at NY Theater Festival, Metropolitan Playhouse, Wild Banshee, Theater (Untitled) and several readings at Writers at Players Club and the Lambs. And now, The Tank for something completely different!
Jeff actively engages with wonderful actors at the Freeman Studio led by Scott Freeman, and vocal coaching with Tracey Grimaldi. Represented by Boals Winnett & Associates, Ingrid French Management and Jordan Gill Dornbaum.
